Because we are a borough you won't find the Mat-Su Valley outlined on most state maps. However, the area includes several better-known communities like Wasilla, Palmer and Talkeetna. We've organized our area into five regions highlighting the geographic draw: Glacier Country, Gold Rush Country, Lake Country, Denali Country and Off the Beaten Path. Visit each of these regions to fill your passport to adventure! The suggested itineraries are a great place to start your planning.
