Nestled between two beautiful lakes, the town of Wasilla is the
home of the world-famous Iditarod Sled Dog Race. For watersports
lovers, Wasilla Lake is perfect for boating, fishing and waterskiing.
If you're looking for a picturesque little town with an agricultural
flair, then be sure to stop in Palmer, which offers an 18-hole golf
course with beautiful views of the mountains and Knik Glacier. It
also hosts the Alaska State Fair from late August to early September.
