McKinley Country

Trapper Creek / Petersville
Trapper Creek lies between Mile 107 and 133 of the George Parks Highway and was a Dena'ina Athabascan Indian territory. Serving as the southern gateway to Denali Park, Trapper Creek offers year-round lodging, dining, services and a museum. For the explorer, Petersville Road extends nearly 40 miles from Trapper Creek into the Dutch Hills offering spectacular views of Mt. McKinley. This scenic gravel road is ideal for summer mountain biking or winter snowmobiling.
