Artisans Open Air Market

The Talkeetna Artisans Open Air Market is a summer long outdoor fair featuring handcrafted art by Alaskans. The market features a variety of arts, including jewelry, woodwork, clothing, soaps and lotions and artisan foods. The market runs every Saturday to Monday through Labor Day.

Don Sheldon Story

The Don Sheldon Story tells the tale of one of the legendary pilots in the golden age of glacier flying in Alaska. The film traces Sheldon's career from his arrival in Alaska to his riseto the elite of Bush pilots. The film is hosted by the Denali Arts Council, and tickets are available at the door.

Moose on Parade

The moose are on the loose in Talkeetna! Local businesses have decorated wooden moose, which are on display throughout town. On July 4th, enjoy the parade at noon, then get ready for a true Alaskan auction, when the moose get sold to the highest bidder in the Village Park. Fun for all ages, don't miss this holiday celebration.
