Visitor Information Center
The Mat-Su Visitors Center is located off Trunk Road at Mile 35.5 Parks Highway (located near the junction of the Parks Hwy. and Glenn Hwy.). Friendly, knowledgeable staff will direct you to activities, attractions and accommodations in the Valley. You'll also find a vacancy availability system that can connect you directly to many Valley businesses and a gift shop featuring local crafts. The log building provides stunning views of Pioneer Peak and the Chugach Mountains. While you're at the Visitors Center tour the Veterans' Wall of Honor featuring a 2,000 lbs. concrete flag and colorful Alaskan flower garden.
