Girls' Getaways Alaska-style

Grown up girls can kick back and enjoy some quality girl time in Alaska with their friends and relatives on these three different gal pal retreats.

B.Y.O.S (Bring your own Spa)

Fly, drive or rent a stretch Hummer Limo and settle into a luxurious Mat-Su lodge, Alaska bed and breakfast or wilderness retreat.  Alaska hosts provide a wide range of luxury suites with all the comforts of a full-service spa. But bring along the facial masks and nail polish, because this self-spa vacation is designed for women who want flexibility in their schedule to accommodate invigorating hikes, fly fishing for Alaska wild salmon, fine gourmet meals and sipping champagne on a deck overlooking Mount McKinley while enjoying the midnight sun.  This is luxury on the edge of the wilderness.

Remote Gourmet Retreat

Fly-in to a backcountry lodge and take part in an Alaska culinary weekend with private cooking lessons with renowned chef Kirsten Dixon. A 50-minute flight from Anchorage will land you at Winterlake Lodge, located on the famous Iditarod National Historic Trail. The beauty and comforts of this remote lodge are only surpassed by the gourmet meals Kirsten dishes up. Invited as a guest chef at the James Beard house in New York and author of two cookbooks, Kirsten's talents are shared in the lodge kitchen. Often cooking the catch-of-the-day and using fresh herbs out of her garden or fresh wild berries, meals are accompanied by tasting fine wines. What a great girlfriend's getaway. Roughin' it with the Girls

With over 130 lakes and ponds, Nancy Lake State Recreation Area provides a tranquil setting for both relaxation and adventure.
