These five featured Alaska self-driving tours highlight the Mat-Su Valley's most interesting and scenic roadways, natural and cultural attractions. Wherever the road takes you, keep an eye out for Alaska wildlife.

Glenn Highway, Denali Highway and Parks Highway Loop

From Musk Ox to McKinley, this drive is a photographer's dream.  The Glenn Highway, which winds through the Mat-Su Valley, is one of America's designated scenic byways.  The designated byway portion of the Glenn is 135 miles in length and cuts through some of the most impressive terrain on earth. Follow the loop through the Mat-Su Valley along the Glenn, Richardson and Parks Highways for two (or more) days of glacier trekking, fossil hunting, wildlife watching, birding and more.  View detail
