Whether you're venturing out into the snow for the first time or you're looking for a new activity to add to your quiver of winter adventures, this event is for you. Winter Discovery Day is designed to connect you to a plethora of winter recreation opportunities and resources in the Valley. There are free gear demonstrations, activity stations, and several giveaways at the event.
The day kicks off at 11:00 a.m. on March 8 at Government Peak Recreation Area. You can ski the cross country trails, go fat tire biking, sledding, or try your hand at snowshoeing.
So many partners across the community are coming together to provide gear for people to try, offer volunteer time, and sponsor this event. The planning has been spearheaded by Revel Treks and Tours and Mat-Su Trails and Parks Foundation. This is Winter Discovery Day's second year and it's shaping up to be an good one!
