Ice Carving Competition

Join us for the 4th Annual Ice Sculpting Competition as part of the Talkeetna Ice Festival. Participants will have 8 days to complete their carvings, which will remain on display in the Talkeetna Village Park until the weather says otherwise. Register here to be a participant!

– Large Ice Block Entry 40″x20″x10″ (350lbs) – $50.00/Block, $30.00/Block for youth participants (2 blocks max per sculpture).

– Blocks of Ice will be available in the Village Park beginning on Saturday, January 25. The blocks weigh 350lbs, and are approximately 2 feet wide, 4 feet high and 9 inches deep.

– Sculptors may continue work past Saturday, February 1st at 12pm, but this is the time that judging will begin. Winners will be announced at 6pm.

There are 3 categories for judging. Adult (18+) Hand Tools, Adult (18+) Power Tools, and Youth (17 and under).

– All ages and abilities encouraged to compete!
