This full day tour includes a tasting room where you’ll get to try hot new Palmer-made products, a tour of three farms and an Alaskan Grown lunch. Join the Mat-Su Farm Bureau and Alaska Farm Tours for a Taste of Palmer where we’ll delight in local food made from Alaska Grown meat, grain, fruits and vegetables. Tour three farms including Alaska’s largest vegetable farm, a small scale fruit farm and farm-to-market stand operation in the greater Palmer area. Meet the farm and food producers that are putting Palmer, Alaska on the map for our distinctive local food and flavors. 

9 a.m. · Pick Up from Carrs on Muldoon 
9:45 a.m. · Pick up at Division of Agriculture in Palmer, AK
10 a.m. · Taste of Palmer: New Palmer-made products you can use and find locally
11 a.m. · Eating Local in Anchorage, Kyla Byers with Arctic Harvest Deliveries
11:30 am · Tour of Bushes Bunches Produce Stand and Farm Operation
12:30 p.m. · Alaska Grown Lunch including pulled pork and coleslaw with a berry dessert. Vegetarian option available. 
2 p.m. · Tour of Alaska’s largest vegetable farm, VanderWeele Farms
3 p.m. · Tour Juice, Jelly and Jam, a small fruit farm production that does value-added processing
4 p.m. · Drop off at Division of Agriculture in Palmer, AK
5 p.m. Drop off at Carrs on Muldoon
