Meandering Moose Lodging consists of three updated suites in the beautifully renovated log cabin lodge and five private cabins. We are nestled in a birch forest less than two miles from quirky, fun downtown Talkeetna. We offer a range of unique accommodations to meet your travel needs. Our Uppity Moose Suite sleeps up to 4 on the second floor of the lodge and has a queen bed and two twins, lots of big windows to the forest, tv, a bathroom with separate tub and shower, and it even has a washer and dryer. The Swuite Moose Suite is on the first floor and boasts 2 bedrooms with 2 comfy queen beds, and a gorgeous, renovated bathroom. It also sleeps up to 4. The Big Deck Suite guests can enjoy morning coffee on their own private deck among the trees. It has a private bath, queen bed, tv, lots of windows to the woods and sleeps 2 guests. All lodge guests have access to the shared kitchen where fresh coffee awaits you every morning. Tea and hot chocolate are also available. Enjoy chatting at the large dining table with guests from around the world or retreat back to the privacy of your room. The large front deck has gas fire tables and lots of comfy seating to enjoy the mild Alaskan summer.
Not far from the lodge are the cabins. The Snoozin Moose and Munchin Moose Cabins offer a queen bed, kitchenette, and bathroom with on demand hot water and a front porch. All cabins also have coffee, tea, and hot chocolate with all the fixings. Our Cozy Moose Cabin is quiet, private and romantic. It has a queen bed and a kitchenette. There's a short path to walk to the private bathroom with a hot shower.
We welcome you to hang out at the common firepit and picnic area or enjoy the variety of games and books provided in each cabin and in the common area of the lodge.
