Where is the Mat-Su Valley?
The Matanuska-Susitna Borough, or Mat-Su, is centrally located between Anchorage and Denali National Park and Preserve in Southcentral Alaska.

HOW TO GET TO THE MAT-SU
Driving from Anchorage? Drive north via the Glenn Highway (Alaska Route 1). The Parks Highway splits off at mile 35 for Wasilla, Knik, Houston, Willow, Talkeetna, Trapper Creek, Denali National Park and Denali State Park. Continue on the Glenn Highway to reach Palmer, Sutton, Chickaloon, Eureka and Lake Louise.
From Fairbanks go south on the Parks Highway (Alaska Route 3) to enter the north end of the Mat-Su Valley, which begins south of Cantwell.
If you're driving up the Alaska Highway, take the Richardson Highway from Tok to Glennallen. Turn on the Glenn Highway and head west. The Mat-Su Valley's most eastern border is Lake Louise.
Ride the Rails. Train service to Wasilla and Talkeetna from Anchorage, Fairbanks and Denali National Park is offered daily from May to September and weekends in winter.
