Zip line adventures in the Mat-Su Valley

Soar across a lake while taking in views of Denali, or zip across a boreal forest - zip lining in Alaska is a great way to experience the state for adrenaline junkies!

In the Mat-Su Valley, there are zip lines in Talkeetna, Palmer and Glacier View, and each of them offers a different experience.

In Talkeetna, the eco-tour includes lengthy zips across forests and lakes on the canopy tour, as well as a rappel, suspension bridge and circular staircase. In Palmer, the newest zip line features six tandem zips, including a 1,250-foot zip across a forest 255 feet below the line, as well as three suspension bridges. Just 90 minutes from Anchorage, it's ideal for a day trip. Speed is the name of the game in Glacier View, as two zip lines provide extreme speed as you take off  250 feet above the Matanuska River and reach speeds of up to 60 miles per hour.

Before heading out on a zip line tour, make sure you meet all the requirements.
